An established, well-regarded and independent Lloyd’s Broker who are consistently growing, are now hiring for a North American Property Account Handler, to assist with day-to-day servicing and technical support, due to the expansion of their US Open Market Property portfolio.

This exciting opportunity consists of the post-holder providing effective technical and administrative support to Brokers within the division, ensuring accurate and timely servicing of clients and placement of risks into the Open Market. This versatile role also offers plenty of client and market involvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Brokers and assist with ensuring smooth placement activities
  • Prepare timely and accurate MRC Slips and Endorsements
  • Assist with the day-to-day management of client/retail broker accounts
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and insurers
  • Calculate premiums and process entries on the broking system
  • Produce cover notes, debit/credit notes and premium adjustments
  • Submit premiums to Velonetic/Xchanging and manage related queries
  • Maintain accurate records, diary management and statistical data
  • Handle technical queries, premium processing and claims support
  • Manage bureau and non-bureau market closings, minimising late signings
  • Respond promptly to client, insurer and third-party enquiries

About You:

  • A minimum of 2 years + of London Market experience in a technical role for a Lloyd’s Broker
  • Experience in creating MRC Slips and Endorsements
  • Experience in handling US Open Market Property Risks
  • Strong attention to detail and solid communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
