Job Description
Greeting visitors, providing information on the winery and its products, conducting wine tastings, leading sales of wine, merchandise, and in store discounts, maintaining the appearance of the tasting room and/or retail area, and handling routine sales transactions and opening/closing procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement & Sales:
- Greet guests with enthusiasm and provide general tourist information.
- Lead guests through wine tastings, educating them on the winery\βs story, wines, and growing regions.
- Sell wine, merchandise, and wine club memberships by highlighting the benefits of each.
- Answer customer questions knowledgeably and professionally.
- Tasting Room Operations:
- Maintain the attractive presentation and cleanliness of displays and facilities.
- Handle routine sales transactions, operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, and account for daily sales.
- Perform opening and closing procedures for the tasting room.
- Ensure all patrons are of legal age to consume alcohol.
