With a membership base spanning contractors, manufacturers, and suppliers, NASC plays a pivotal role in promoting excellence and growth within the sector.

Position Overview

The Compliance Officer – Contractor Members plays a pivotal role in assessing the level of compliance with NASC membership requirements from application for membership through to the on-going compliance for existing members.NASC is seeking regional compliance officers to join an existing team. The main vacancy is in the Midlands region but demand also exists in other areas. Applications are welcome from individuals seeking to join the NASC staff or from businesses which could provide compliance officers on a consultancy basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contact new applicants and existing members to arrange the assessments dates within the month required.
  • Give guidance to new applicants with regard to what is required to be uploaded for the Desktop audit.
  • Carry out site audits, to gather sufficient information to be able to verify compliance or non-compliance with requirements.
  • Review findings and grade according based on the nature of the findings.
  • Write an audit report and classify the findings within 48 Hours of completing the site audit, and make the recommendation.
  • If assessments are based on a Multi-site with the Head Office in your area, correlate all depot and site reports into one report.
  • Book re-audits once the findings have been confirmed.
  • Conduct unannounced site audits as required.

  • Excellent listening and observation skills.
  • Ability to work alone.
  • Open to travel.

Key Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Be registered as a CISRS Advance Scaffolding Inspector.
  • Have a general safety qualification such e.g. NEBOSH general certificate.
