As a Computer Scientist within the Information, Data, and Analytics Service Line (IDAS), you will architect systems that process and model data efficiently for advanced analytics. You will design and oversee the implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions that align with NASA strategic goals.
Engage with users to understand and automate their data workflows, and work closely with product managers to deliver high-quality data products.
Duties:
- Evaluate and integrate effective technical architectures for advanced data analytics, data visualization, artificial intelligence, and machine learning technologies to deliver solutions that meet NASA Mission and Mission Support needs.
- Design robust, scalable, and secure technology solutions that meet customer requirements, overseeing implementation and providing guidance to engineering, development, and delivery teams.
- Drive innovation and promote the adoption of advanced technologies to enhance data analysis capabilities, leading proof of concept work to explore new tools and demonstrate their value in NASA domains.
- Foster effective collaboration across NASA organizations and with external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Ensure that all technical architectures and implementations comply with relevant regulations and best practices, with a strong focus on security and risk management.
- Enhance the technical expertise of the team and contribute to the NASA knowledge base through continuous learning and mentorship.
