We are looking to recruit a Driver's Mate to play a key role in assisting our Delivery Drivers in the delivery of food and drinks to schools and care homes throughout Scotland. Must have own transport due to location. This role can be 3 days per week, Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
Responsibilities
- Arrival by the start time and assist in the loading of vehicles and general sorting of the orders
- Assist in accurate checking of items out for delivery with the manifest
- Delivering the goods into the customers' premises in a professional manner (involves heavy lifting & hand balling)
- Checking orders with the customer for accuracy against delivery notes and reporting discrepancies immediately
- Unload the vehicle at the end of the shift of any equipment/returns
- Working in the warehouse when required
Personal Specification
- Good time keeping

- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
- Previous experience in parcel delivery/distribution work
- Be flexible and physically fit
- Have warehouse and driver’s mate experience (although not essential)
- Be able to provide work-related references
