Narwhal is building the Palantir of maritime - an AI-powered operating system for shipping companies and ships that connects fragmented systems and automates workflows across procurement, logistics, maintenance, and compliance. We've launched our Beta, deployed our first AI agents, and are co-building with major shipping companies worldwide. Now we're looking for an exceptional Head of Product to join our founding team and help architect the platform that will reshape a trillion-dollar industry.

What You'll Do

  • Own the product vision and roadmap: translate Narwhal's long-term strategy into tangible, prioritized product builds.
  • Lead the design of AI agent workflows and integrations across multiple systems (ERPs, TMS, port systems, legacy software), enabling automation at scale.
  • Build a vessel-centric data foundry and ontology as the backbone for vertical AI agents that automate procurement, logistics, maintenance, and operation workflows.
  • Distill complex operational workflows into simple, intuitive product experiences that customers adopt.
  • Work directly with customers (via our ambassador program) to observe, define, and automate workflows, embedding like a Palantir Forward Engineer.
  • Partner with engineering, design, and go-to-market to deliver fast, iterative product cycles, from insight to adoption to measurable ROI.
  • Build and scale a product team over time.

Who You Are

  • Experienced in enterprise SaaS / B2B platforms, ideally in supply chain, logistics, freight forwarding, fintech, or other industries connecting fragmented systems.
  • Comfortable working with AI/ML and agents, from workflow design to embedding LLM-powered automation in real products.
  • Technical depth: able to engage engineering on architecture, integrations, and APIs (coding background is a plus, not a must).
  • Data architecture as a product foundation: experienced in defining data models, taxonomies, or ontologies that structure fragmented operational data into usable systems, and in building scalable foundations (schemas, APIs, integrations) that enable new workflows and AI agents to be layered on top without re-architecting each time.
  • Strong product intuition and customer empathy, you see hidden pain points and can translate them into elegant solutions.
  • Thrive in messy, complex spaces; excel at creating clarity and execution structure.
  • Equally comfortable with executives, operators, and engineers.
  • Comfortable working directly with operators and technical teams during deployments, you'll debug issues on-site and explain technical decisions in operational terms.

Nice to Have

  • Supply chain, logistics, freight forwarding, or maritime domain knowledge.
  • Experience in early-stage, high-growth startups.
  • Track record of working with integrations-heavy products or multi-agent systems.

Why Join Narwhal

  • First product hire, define the product vision and roadmap from the ground up.
  • Embed directly with billion-dollar fleet operators through our Ambassador Program.
  • Build the category-defining product in a $350B+ market with no established leader.
  • Founding team equity and the chance to architect how maritime operations software gets built.
