The Role

You will lead the design and delivery of complex structural engineering projects from concept through to completion, managing technical quality, commercial performance and project teams. You will work closely with architects, developers, contractors and fellow consultants to deliver practical and efficient engineering solutions.
The successful candidate will be trusted to take ownership of multiple projects, provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery to programme, budget, and quality expectation.
  • Act as the primary technical contact for clients, architects, and contractors.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and manage project resources effectively.
  • Undertake site inspections, design team meeting, and construction-stage support.
  • Review and approve technical designs, calculations, and reports.
  • Mentor and develop graduate and project engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with Eurocodes, British Standards, Building Safety legislation, and company quality procedures.
  • Contribute to business development, client management, and work-winning activities.

About You

We are interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Chartered Engineer status (MIStructE or MICE) or strong progress towards Chartership.
  • Proven experience delivering building structures projects independently.
  • Strong technical capability across a range of structural materials.
  • Experience using industry-standard analysis and modelling software.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Commercial awareness and project management capability.
  • A collaborative approach with a passion for mentoring and developing others.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements, including the option of a 9 day fortnight.
  • Structure professional development and leadership opportunities.
  • Support towards Chartership (where applicable).
  • A collaborative and supportive team culture.
  • Opportunity to work on high-profile and technically challenging projects.

If you are looking for a role where you can influence projects, develop people, and help shape the future of a growing consultancy, we'd love to hear from you.
