Eakin Healthcare is a true Northern Irish success story: a family-owned medical device company delivering groundbreaking innovation in care on the global stage. With a proud heritage founded over 50 years ago, Eakin now delivers patient-centred solutions across Ostomy, Respiratory, and Surgical therapies with a team of over 700 dedicated people across three manufacturing sites and direct commercial operations in eleven countries. The company delivers products to patients in over 60 international markets. In this next phase of growth and to support succession planning, Eakin look to recruit a visionary Chief People Officer who will continue to lead and shape the Group People strategy in alignment with the organisations overall mission and goals. The Chief People Officer will sit on the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer, acting as a trusted advisor to both. They will be fully responsible for leading the people function across the organisation, creating alignment between the people strategy and business objectives, helping drive both performance and culture.

The successful candidate will have a passion for continuous organisational development, driving talent management and fostering a culture of innovation and inclusivity whilst building a Great Place to Work for the future. The CPO will develop and implement strategies to enable the organisation to achieve its ambitious goals through people, ensuring it has the talent it needs to thrive and a culture that supports employee engagement, drives productivity and ultimately increased profitability.

With a strong background in executive level HR leadership, the CPO will have a progressive, forward-thinking approach with a focus on strategic planning, leadership development and blending data insights with empathy to deliver a meaningful employee life cycle and a values-led approach. Applicants should have a strong background in HR leadership having held senior positions such as CHRO, Global HR Director or VP of People in a large commercial organisation, ideally within manufacturing, and will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Executive-level leadership presence, with experience of advising boards.
  • Proven experience of leading people strategies at a group or enterprise level aligned to company vision and global growth ambitions.
  • Proven experience of driving talent acquisition and development across all levels of an organisation ideally internationally.
  • Experience of shaping organisational design and leading change management at a significant level.
  • Delivery of exceptional leadership development initiatives.
  • Experience of navigating complex high growth global organisations.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field along with a CIPD qualification would be highly desirable.
