Assisting Clients with all aspects of their personal care whilst always maintaining the privacy of the Client.
Responsibilities
- To assist Clients in using their personal and mobility aids whilst ensuring all aids are well maintained.
- Assist social activities by interacting with clients and helping them to continue with their hobbies and activities to the best of your ability.
- To understand, contribute to and be familiar with the Clients Care Plans and report any changes to the Person in Charge.
- To complete accurate and effective written records as instructed in line with policies and procedures.
- Assist Clients during mealtimes in accordance with their care plan and serve meals and drinks as required.
- To answer the nurse call system promptly and give assistance as required.
- To report any incidents, occurrences or complaints to the Nurse in Charge and record appropriately.
- To attend mandatory training and other training identified to enable you to fulfil your role is compulsory. This may involve travel to other venues and in some cases additional costs for training.
- To attend supervision and appraisal meetings and Narra Care Services staff meetings as required.
- Any other duties as are within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the job.
Skills and Qualifications
- None as full training provided but 6 months experience preferable.
- Interest in Care of the elderly.

Location: Newtownards, Bangor, Donaghadee, Carrickfergus, Belfast. We are an Agency that provide care assistants to cover 1:1 and general care within nursing and residential homes. We are zero hours contract but hours are available.
