Responsibilities
- Lead the reinstatement of buildings affected by events such as fire, flood, water escape and impact.
- Work with home and property owners, building contractors, loss adjusters and other professionals to ensure successful project completion on time and within budget.
- Specify building repairs and act as contract administrator.
- Produce technical reports on a range of building matters and assess and validate costs and quotations.
- Maintain excellent communication, prioritisation and strategic thinking skills throughout projects.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Solid knowledge of building construction and repair, demonstrated through experience and qualification.
- MRICS/MCIOB or working towards these chartered qualifications (or relevant entry qualifications such as a Building Surveying degree).
Helpful but not essential
- Surveying experience in the Buildings Insurance sector.
- Experience working with schedules of rates and contractor networks.
- Familiarity with forms of building contract.
