David has more than 20 years’ commercial litigation experience, and acts for several commercial landlords, property portfolio managers and managing agents, advising on a broad range of property disputes.
David is recommended by legal industry guide The Legal 500 as ‘tenacious and effective’, with client testimonials describing him as having ‘an exceptional ability to retain facts and figures’ and suggesting ‘he invariably demonstrates an instinctive grasp of a situation, quickly identifying the priorities and where any pitfalls may lay’.
Type of work we do
The team provides specialist advice on commercial landlord and tenant disputes, including rent arrears, forfeiture, and eviction, 1954 Act renewals, break notices and disrepair/dilapidations. We advise on issues surrounding assignments and subletting, alterations, change of use, and possession.
We also provide advice on various day-to-day-property and land disputes, including disputes over agreements concerning land, rights of way, restrictive covenants, and trespass.
You will be joining a team that has in-depth knowledge, excellent technical and commercial skills, and a reputation as one of the top litigation teams in the Northwest.
We work collaboratively with our colleagues, with all other departments referring into our team, many of whom have made the move to Napthens from international and national firms, and we have very strong relationships with a wide range of referrers and intermediaries whose clients turn to us when they need legal support. As you would expect and be reassured we have an excellent relationship with our large commercial property / real estate team resulting in mutual benefits and long standing clients.
At Napthens, the quality of our work and our clients speaks for itself.
