Must be UK based. Lead PR excellence across an award-winning B2B technology agency. Napier is a PR-led, full-service marketing agency specialising in B2B technology, engineering and electronics. We partner with some of the most innovative and technically advanced brands in the world, helping them build authority, credibility and commercial impact through expert communications.
We’re now looking for an experienced Head of PR to lead our PR discipline, manage and develop our account management teams, and take overall responsibility for the strategic, operational and commercial health of all PR clients.
The Role
As Head of PR, you will be accountable for the performance, quality and profitability of Napier’s PR offering. This is a senior leadership role combining strategic oversight, people management and senior client consultancy. You will set the direction for PR across the agency, ensure consistently high standards of delivery, and act as a trusted senior advisor to clients operating in complex B2B technology, engineering and electronics markets.
Key Responsibilities
- PR Leadership & Strategy
- Own and evolve Napier’s PR proposition across electronics, engineering, industrial technology and B2B tech markets.
- Set best practice standards for media relations, thought leadership, technical content and integrated PR campaigns.
- Ensure PR strategies are aligned with client business objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex client challenges and strategic decisions.
- Client Health & Commercial Responsibility
- Hold overall responsibility for the health, retention, growth and profitability of all PR client accounts.
- Oversee account planning, resourcing, forecasting and budget management across the PR team.
- Identify opportunities for account growth, cross-service integration and long‑term client partnerships.
- Ensure consistently high levels of client satisfaction and senior stakeholder engagement.
- Team Management & Development
- Lead, mentor and develop PR account management teams, from Account Executives through to Account Directors.
- Build a high‑performing, collaborative PR culture focused on quality, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and progression of PR talent within the agency.
- Ensure teams are confident working with highly technical subject matter and specialist trade media.
- Senior Client & Media Engagement
- Maintain strong senior‑level relationships with key clients and industry stakeholders.
- Provide hands‑on strategic input for priority clients, pitches and new business opportunities.
- Leverage deep knowledge of the UK, European and global electronics and engineering trade media landscape.
- Represent Napier as a senior PR leader within the wider B2B technology community.
About You
- Extensive experience in B2B technology PR, with deep expertise in electronics, engineering or industrial technology.
- Proven track record of leading PR teams and managing multiple client portfolios.
- Strong understanding of the electronics and engineering trade media ecosystem, with senior‑level media relationships.
- Commercially minded, with experience owning client profitability, forecasting and account growth.
- Confident advising senior client stakeholders and shaping long‑term communications strategy.
- Highly credible with technical audiences, able to challenge, guide and add value at board and leadership level.
- Collaborative leader with a coaching mindset and commitment to developing talent.
