Overview of the role: The Head of Content & Comms owns the Napier AI content strategy, editorial calendar, customer case studies, and brand voice. This role drives pipeline growth through attributable content performance across all stages of GTM campaigns. Sitting within our central marketing team, we are seeking a highly collaborative individual with domain knowledge and a passion for financial crime compliance. As the guardian of our story and tone of voice, enthusiasm for marketing communication practices and exceptional communication skills is a must. This is a great opportunity for a content practitioner to establish and grow a content strategy, working alongside the wider marketing team to be highly data-driven in measuring the effectiveness of the content delivered.
About you: We are looking for a content strategist who combines strong editorial judgment with understanding of content performance and optimisation across all channels, including new agentic search. You should have proven use of AI to support the production of content and messaging tests to drive efficiency in the role whilst remaining 100% in control of the output. You understand how enterprise buyers think, can extract compelling stories from customer conversations, and know how to create differentiated positioning pieces that address buyer problems. You will need to showcase how you can create content that cuts through for earned share of voice. You are comfortable managing external PR, design, and digital search agencies. You are comfortable working across product, sales, and data science teams to create authoritative, differentiated thought leadership.
Your day to day:
- Develop a content strategy and editorial calendar of time-bound deliverables that integrate into marketing and sales campaigns.
- Work with Product, Technology, and Commercial teams to create and maintain content for thought leadership, press releases, customer advocacy, sales enablement, nurture campaigns, presentations and speaking engagements.
- Meet KPIs on content effectiveness and contribute towards departmental goals for pipeline and revenue impact.
- Manage SEO and AEO content programme with digital agency to improve rankings on brand terms and keywords.
- Build and own customer case studies. Create customer advocates and related content to be used throughout the GTM function. Be comfortable working through clients' legal frameworks to maximise the potential use of case studies, quotes and reference points.
- Manage the PR agency (day-to-day relationship) to ensure a consistent, authority-building media presence that supports SEO and AEO and maximises the reach of our content.
- Proactively identify content ideas (potentially alongside the PR agency) and build business cases to challenge the wider business to support the initiatives.
- Direct PR agency on which stories to pitch, which journalists to target, and how to amplify news and thought leadership for maximum earned media coverage.
- Position the Napier AI narrative consistently across all content. Work closely with the marketing team to support the development of targeted campaigns. Ingest guidance from Product Marketing on audience and positioning and turn it into content that can be actioned into live demand generation, ABM, and nurture campaigns.
- Lead creation and amplification of the Napier AI / AML Index, including working with Data Science to analyse the model and define messaging. Own the editorial calendar to ensure Index data generates 12 months of sustained content.
- Own the awards programme, ensuring KPIs are hit for company, culture, product, and customer awards that recognise company leadership and results, and drive brand reputation.
- Define and own the use of internal AI to create a content management and sales enablement system.
