Shipping Clerk

Overview

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for the daily shipping activities as assigned by the Pharmacy Procurement Manager. This person must be able to process orders for shipping. This person must be knowledgeable and proficient in all operations of the Shipping Department. The Shipping Clerk will strive to provide the highest quality of services to both inside and outside customers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the company stockroom through organizing, cleaning and cataloging shipping related items on a regular basis
• Process orders including all items for shipment with proper paperwork. Double checks all shipments for accuracy.
• Communication to facilities of shipments being processed for delivery, with manifest and tracking information.
• Must be able to operate shipping manifest printing along with operation of FedEx or other shipping software.
• Keep files of goods shipped by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers
• Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling
• Responsible for packing orders with correct packaging materials to prevent damage.
• Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them
• Place merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary, and pallet jacks for large goods
• Handling boxes up to 70 pounds required.
• Performing other duties as instructed by supervisor.
• This position has some physical requirements:

• Stooping, reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, lifting, walking and other repetitive motions are a part of this position.

This position is our last quality check for all orders. Any items that seem incorrect or out of place should be evaluated for accuracy.
