Responsibilities
Responsibilities for Director of Operations:
- Provides operational and clinical oversight to 10-12 prison systems, community-based hospitals, and provider groups. Utilizes resources to resolve routine medical issues and improve performance.
- Serves as a liaison to facilitate collaboration among departments such as contracting, claims, scheduling, and medical records.
- Proactively addresses problems using objectivity and insightfulness, meeting goals and taking responsibility for results.
- Works closely with EVP, SVP, and AVP on operational issues involving clients and network facilities.
- Ensures contract compliance and conducts regular reviews of the Quality Control Plan.
- Coordinates and conducts site visits or teleconferences regularly.
- Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and promotes a positive work environment.
- Builds productive relationships with staff, security, healthcare providers, patients, vendors, and clients.
- Acts as a liaison between staff and administration to ensure quality patient outcomes.
- Works independently, manages multiple priorities, and exercises judgment and discretion to meet organizational goals.
- Possesses excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilities; works well independently and with hospital executives.
Qualifications
Qualifications for Director of Operations:
- RN required
- Minimum of 5 years healthcare-related experience
- At least 3 years of managerial experience; multi-state management experience highly desirable
- Travel required 10-15%
