MAIN MISSION
This role is integral to the effective day-to-day running of NAOS UK&I, with responsibility for financial management, accounting oversight, business reporting, IT coordination, operational efficiency and robust internal controls.
The Finance & IT Manager will help ensure the subsidiary operates smoothly, compliantly and with reliable financial and business systems.
The Finance & IT Manager’s core mandate is to preserve and optimise the financial health of the subsidiary while ensuring accurate reporting, strong governance, effective administration, reliable IT and reporting systems, and compliance with Group requirements and local regulations.
The role is responsible for managing and coordinating services across finance, accounting, financial management, business intelligence, IT systems and administration, and will report to the UK&I Head of Finance and Operations.
The position will lead a team of two direct reports, including the Accountant and Credit Controller.
The Finance & IT Manager will manage and develop the finance team by setting objectives, defining and monitoring KPIs, identifying training needs and supporting career development plans.
The role will also support the wider business by improving financial understanding, providing accurate reporting and analysis, maintaining efficient processes, coordinating IT support, and ensuring that key finance and business systems are used effectively across the organisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for Financial Operations
- Manage and develop the Accountant and Credit Controller, including objectives, KPIs, training requirements and development plans.
- Support the operations of the subsidiary and the Head of Finance and Operations through sound financial analysis and decision-making.
- Reinforce internal control mechanisms by developing quality assurance practices, control assessments and process improvements to maintain a strong control environment.
- Oversee the yearly statutory audit and work with auditors to ensure timely review and sign-off of the financial statements.
- Lead the local implementation of Group procedures, ensuring compliance with local laws, regulations and internal policies.
- Oversee credit control, invoice and credit note issuance, and cash collection with the Credit Controller to optimise the cash cycle and KPIs, including DSO, cash on hand and current account position.
- Oversee accounts payable processes with the Accountant to ensure liabilities are met on time and KPIs are optimised, including DPO and bank fees.
- Responsible for Financial Reporting Locally & to HQ
- Protect and improve cash levels by preparing regular cash-flow forecasts to ensure business needs are met and the cash position is optimised.
- Coordinate regular credit control reviews, including aged debt analysis, client cash cycle discussion, bad debt provision, credit note monitoring and escalation of difficult collection cases.
- Monitor the bank current account position on a weekly basis and provide clear visibility on cash status and risks.
- Prepare monthly P&L analysis by brand, channel and range to identify opportunities for improvement and work with department heads to support delivery of actions.
- Maintain statutory accounting and financial management standards, ensuring the subsidiary complies with applicable regulations and Group financial requirements.
- Ensure the accuracy and compliance of monthly management accounts and reporting to headquarters.
- Maintain and develop local Power BI reporting to support cross-functional business requirements and improve visibility of financial and commercial performance.
- Ensure Essbase, Viareport and local sales reporting are completed accurately and on time, maintaining strong relationships with HQ finance teams.
- Oversee month-end close activities, including the review, recording and allocation of general ledger entries.
- Maintain the UK Power BI database and ensure reporting outputs remain accurate, relevant and aligned with business needs.

- Support continuous improvement of financial reporting tools, dashboards and data processes to improve decision-making across the subsidiary.
- IT Coordination & Systems Support
- Act as the local Finance and IT coordination point for ERP (Business Central – Dynamics 365), improvements, fixes, testing and process improvements, identifying and addressing bottlenecks with the relevant teams.
- Manage finance-related Salesforce queries and support the implementation of Ireland clients on Salesforce.
- Coordinate with the UK IT provider, Group IT teams and external providers to support user access, equipment, licences, onboarding, offboarding, system updates, troubleshooting and escalation of technical issues.
- Support the administration, maintenance and improvement of core business systems, including finance, CRM, reporting, planning and Business Intelligence tools, ensuring data quality, user access and process documentation are maintained.
- Ensure local IT processes comply with Group policies, data protection requirements and business continuity needs.
- Support the management of relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, accounting providers, company secretarial support, tax and law firms, logistics partners, banks, Group HQ, forwarders, insurance brokers, consultancies, IT providers and ad hoc advisors.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree. One of the following studies will be preferred: economics, statistics, corporate finance, internal control, accounting.
- Excellent financial acumen, ability to keep financial records. Accounting software knowledge a plus (Business Central, SAP, Navision, Sage, Xero).
- High standard accounting, P&L management, financial modelling and forecasting skills.
- 5 years of experience in a corporate finance/accounting/audit/FP&A management role.
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical/cosmetic/FMCG sectors is a benefit.
- Full proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general working knowledge of MS Office.
Knowledge of Salesforce, Power BI, DAX, VBA, Business Central and finance/reporting system administration is a plus.
- Data analysis, reporting, system administration, process improvement and project coordination.
- Experience coordinating with internal IT teams or external IT providers, including support for user access, equipment, system troubleshooting, software licences and onboarding/offboarding processes.
- Proven communication skills. Ability to synthesise complex concepts for non-expert users.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Self-starter, capacity to work under pressure and deliver results in a timely manner.
