Naomi House is a leading UK children's hospice, providing expert care and support to babies, children and young adults with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. We support families through the good days, difficult days and last days.
To continue delivering outstanding care and to meet the evolving needs of the children and families we support, we are seeking an exceptional head to lead Naomi House & Paediatric Services and to play a pivotal leadership role within the Care Directorate.
Responsibilities- Work closely with the Director of Care (Registered Manager) and the wider Care Leadership Team, shaping paediatric hospice services at Naomi House and helping ensure we meet and exceed Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards to provide specialist, compassionate care in our purpose-built hospice.
- Provide clinical and professional leadership to Clinical Team Managers and the wider Care Team, developing paediatric care in line with current research, evidence-based practice and national guidance.
- Maintain a visible clinical presence, champion high standards of care, safety and governance, and support, inspire and develop a diverse multidisciplinary workforce.
- Demonstrate resilience, compassion and strength of character; lead in a setting that is emotionally demanding but rewarding and ensure Naomi House delivers exceptional care for future generations.
- Registered Nurse with significant paediatric nursing experience, including care for children with complex, life-limiting conditions.
- Strong leadership and management experience from a hospice, NHS, or comparable healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge, innovate and lead change.
- Experience of safeguarding, clinical governance, service development and people management is essential.
