The Manager in the Advancement Office at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) plays a vital role in advancing the institution’s fundraising objectives. Working closely with the Head of Advancement, this position is responsible for identifying and cultivating prospective donors whose interests align with NAFA’s strategic development areas. The Manager will manage a portfolio of donor prospects, ensuring consistent engagement and stewardship. In addition, the role supports the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns, contributing to the acquisition of major gifts and the implementation of innovative initiatives.

These efforts are crucial in sustaining NAFA’s research and development priorities, positioning the Academy for continued growth and achievement in its mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect Identification and Pipeline Development: Actively identify, research, and qualify new prospective donors with interests aligned to priority development areas. Work with Head, ADVO and senior management to cultivate and solicit major gifts from new leads, including individuals, foundations, family offices, and corporate partners, managing a portfolio of prospects. Initiate contact and schedule meetings to introduce NAFA. Prepare gift agreements, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and legal requirements.
  • Fundraising Campaign Support: Work with Head, ADVO to propose and execute innovative fundraising campaigns such as legacy giving, endowment drives, and special initiatives to diversify revenue streams. Support Head, ADVO on campaign strategy and execution.
  • Donor Engagement: Organise appreciation and networking events as part of cultivation strategies for new leads. Coordinate donor engagement activities, including meetings and campus visits. Ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements in all donor interactions. Maintain accurate donor records and track implementation and outcomes of donations. Support the planning and execution of Advancement Office events, including annual golf tournament and scholarship ceremony.
  • General Support: Undertake other duties as assigned by the Head (ADVO).
Requirements
  • Degree with 10 - 12 years of relevant working experience in fundraising or business development.
  • Proactive, resourceful, independent and able to take initiative to drive outcomes.
  • Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Good proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence in stakeholder engagement.
  • Passion for the arts and/or arts education.
