Candidate Criteria:
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud, SQL, Cloud Storage, Azure Backup, Azure Portal, Azure Active Directory
- Prior commercial experience in designing and operating cloud systems design, specifically Azure
- PowerShell scripting
- Working understanding of traffic managers, load balancers and load balancing methodology
- Experience in configuring backup, patching and monitoring of servers and services
- Expertise in infrastructure as a service and operations technologies such as Terraform, Serverless, Azure Monitor, Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud functions and scalable messaging systems (Rabbit, ActiveMQ, Kafka), GPU computing in the cloud
- Experience in working with continuous integration platforms, IaaS and PaaS technologies
- Experience in the configuration, management, and troubleshooting of Azure Storage / Networking / Database
- In depth knowledge of configuring and managing Linux and Windows environments
- Advanced understanding of directory services (AD and LDAP) and networking (NSGs, Firewalls, VNets, VPNs, Gateways, Routing, VLAN)
- Experience managing continuous integration services such as TeamCity, Gitlab or Jenkins
- Experience in designing and implementing scalable secure cloud-based solutions
- Cloud Solution Architect certification (Azure / AWS / GCP), Linux (Preferably) and/or Windows sysadmin certification
- Programming experience (Java, Go, Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
- Proven Experience of microservices and container-based systems (Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos)
- Experience with Atlassian Jira/Confluence or similar
- Experience with Oracle Database / DB Admin; ITIL experience
- Familiarity with open source cloud and application platforms; Understanding of other public cloud services (AWS, GCP)
Duties:
- Active involvement in the planning, implementation and testing of cloud infrastructure and DevOps systems/pipelines
- Contributing with strong networking, security and system administration experience
- Building the infrastructure to support high performance multi-tenant applications using cutting edge technologies
- Collaborate with the already existing agile scrum team to design and implement full stack technical solutions
- Identify, test & implement the latest and most appropriate technologies for the task at hand
- Implement industry standard best practices such as automated testing, continuous integration, continuous delivery, automated deployments, and infrastructure as code
- Support the success and development of others in the team
- Carrying out other ad hoc duties as required
