Job Role:

  • Carry out full lifecycle activities across audit, installation, migration, and decommissioning of IT and network infrastructure.
  • Manage installations and relocations of network, server, and storage hardware within data centres, offices, and trading floors.
  • Deliver structured patching, including complex high-density patching across network and compute environments.
  • Conduct rack remediation works, including cleaning, re-cabling, power management, and improving airflow or layout efficiency.
  • Execute decommissioning works — secure device removal, data sanitisation, and compliant asset disposal (ADISA/WEEE).
  • Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to defined engineering and documentation standards.
  • Experience with copper and fibre cabling (Cat6A, OM4), including termination, splicing, and testing.
  • Understanding of conduit, tray, and containment builds (underfloor, overhead, or external).
  • Familiarity with enterprise-standard, high-density, or long-line cabling installations.
  • Build, install, and commission racks, cabinets, and containment structures, including fabrication and mounting activities.
  • Carry out pre-cabling and pre-patching to prepare migration and transformation sites.
  • Install and integrate switches, servers, storage systems, and supporting power and network hardware.
  • Perform rack optimisations, ensuring structured cabling, power routing, and airflow management align to design standards.
