Dahlia Recruitment - Life Sciences are partnered with Nanosonics, a growing Medical Device company to recruit for a Senior HR Business Partner to partner closely with the Regional President of EMEA, General Manager UK, Finance leadership and functional leaders across EMEA to drive people initiatives that support business growth and organisational capability.

The role is based in the UK Head office based in Cheadle (full parking is available) and hybrid working but will require occasional EU travel and a strong working relationship with the existing People & Culture team in Sydney.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

  • Leadership Capability & Culture
  • Coach and support leaders to strengthen people leadership capability and accountability.
  • Drive the adoption of high-performance leadership practices, including regular performance conversations, feedback and development planning.
  • Support leadership teams to create an inclusive, engaged and accountable culture.
  • Facilitate leadership discussions and workshops relating to organisational effectiveness, team performance and culture.
  • Talent & Succession
  • Implement the Company's global Talent Management and Succession Planning frameworks across EMEA.
  • Facilitate annual talent reviews and succession planning discussions.
  • Support leaders to identify critical roles, assess talent risk and develop succession pipelines and recruitment activities.
  • Partner with global P&C colleagues to implement leadership development initiatives and career development pathways.
  • Drive adoption of performance management and talent development processes.
  • Employee Relations & Employment Law
  • Serve as the primary advisor on employee relations matters within the region.
  • Manage complex employee relations issues including performance management, grievances, disciplinary matters, restructures and terminations,
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation across the UK, Ireland, Germany and France through appropriate processes and external specialist advice where required.
  • Review and update employment contracts, policies and employee documentation to align with current legislation and Company standards.
  • Manage employment-related risks through proactive governance and leader education.
  • People Frameworks & Governance
  • Lead implementation of global People & Culture frameworks and initiatives within EMEA.
  • Ensure regional processes align with the Global P&C operational calendar, including performance reviews, talent reviews, remuneration review processes and employee engagement activities.
  • Monitor regional compliance with global policies and governance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve consistency, efficiency and effectiveness of people processes.
  • Employee Engagement & Organisational Effectiveness
  • Support and drive participation in employee engagement, pulse survey and culture initiatives.
  • Analyse survey results and workforce data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Work with leaders to develop and deliver action plans that improve engagement and retention.
  • Support organisational change initiatives and business transformation activities.
  • Workplace Health, Safety & Wellbeing
  • Lead implementation and ongoing governance of global Workplace Health & Safety and Psychosocial Risk frameworks across EMEA.
  • Ensure leaders understand and meet their responsibilities relating to employee wellbeing and psychosocial safety.
  • Partner with regional leaders to identify and mitigate psychosocial and workplace risks.
  • Ensure local practices remain aligned to legal obligations and Company expectations.
  • Cross Functional Goal Alignment
  • Support leaders to establish clear objectives and alignment across functions.
  • Promote accountability and transparency in executing strategic priorities.
  • Data, Insights & Reporting
  • Monitor and report on recruitment activity, key workforce metrics and people trends.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Prepare regional people insights for EMEA leadership discussions and global People & Culture reporting requirements.
  • Projects & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead regional People & Culture projects and contribute to global initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve organisational capability, people processes and employee experience.
  • Support the successful implementation of change initiatives with clear deliverables, communication plans and measures of success.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a strong generalist human resources experience gained in multi-country European environments (any experience with France , Germany or Ireland would be highly advantageous)
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing executive-level stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of UK employment legislation with practical exposure to Ireland, Germany and France highly desirable.
  • Proven capability managing employee relations matters in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Experience implementing talent, succession, performance and leadership frameworks.
  • Experience working within a global matrix organisation and balancing regional needs with global requirements.
  • Demonstrated capability driving organisational change and improving leadership effectiveness.
  • Strong coaching and stakeholder management skills with the confidence to constructively challenge leaders.
  • Commercial business acumen and ability to translate business priorities into people solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a growth-oriented environment with evolving structures and processes.
  • Experience working in regulated industries or international organisations highly regarded.
  • CIPD qualified ideally level 5 or working towards
