About the role
We’re looking for a Security Operations Analyst to protect and secure our systems and data, supporting the health and care mission of CQC.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve complex cyber incidents, protecting sensitive information.
- Develop and test security policies and procedures to strengthen organisational resilience.
- Lead forensic investigations into data breaches and provide clear recommendations.
- Manage security alerts; act as main contact for cyber incidents and queries, ensuring timely response.
- Provide expert advice to internal teams and external partners on cybersecurity matters.
- Support threat detection, vulnerability remediation, and improvement of tools like Microsoft Defender and Sentinel.
- Drive governance by creating and maintaining security policies, standards, and reporting.
- Collaborate with technology teams to reduce risks and improve security practices.
Qualifications
- Experience investigating and responding to cybersecurity incidents, including analysis and reporting.
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft security tools (Sentinel, Defender XDR, Azure) and security frameworks or standards.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a complex, multi‑team environment.
