Role Overview:
We are seeking an outstanding, temporary, Live-in Rota Nanny to work with two well-mannered children in a welcoming and fully staffed private household in the heart of the Cotswolds. This role would suit someone who is passionate about childcare, truly values outdoor learning, and enjoys spending time outside with animals, including horses and chickens. The family places a strong importance on nurturing the children through both outdoor exploration, such as nature-led activities and gardening, as well as structured developmental activities.
Both parents work full-time; however, they are very child-centric when at home. The children are often encouraged to visit their parents at work, and the family places strong importance on manners, responsibility, and independence. From a young age, the children are encouraged to take ownership of day-to-day tasks such as making their beds, putting clothes into the laundry, stacking the dishwasher, washing plates, and laying the table. This routine is well established and is considered an important part of the children’s daily learning and development.
This is a truly exceptional opportunity for a highly trained, professional, kind, and trustworthy Nanny with outstanding experience wishing to join a warm and welcoming household with a family that values high standards, trust, and mutual respect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exemplary childcare through a mix of shared care and sole charge.
- Support the children’s emotional, social, and educational development.
- Nurture the children through both outdoor exploration and structured developmental activities.
- Maintain routine and consistency for the children; the family values a well-organised daily schedule.
- Create a supportive environment with a strong emphasis on stability and structure for the children.
- Contribute to a family-led approach that values routine, predictability, and age-appropriate structure, with activities that nurture the children’s development in a positive, play-focused way.
- Ensure the children’s wellbeing, safety, and happiness at all times.
- Confidently drive the children to activities, appointments, and outings.
- Travel as required for family holidays, including travelling via private jet with the family.
- Demonstrate high standards of organisation and attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
- Naturally trustworthy, reliable and discreet.
- A highly trained professional nanny with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
- Discretion, respect for privacy, and professional boundaries.
- Proven experience working in a rota nanny role within high-profile households.
- An exceptional employment record, supported by exemplary references.
- Demonstrates consistently high standards of professionalism and presentation.
- Paediatric First Aid trained (essential).
- Enhanced DBS check (essential).
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Confident driver with a full, clean driving licence.
- Strong swimmer.
- Emotionally intelligent, calm, and confident in managing children’s needs.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a countryside environment and around animals, including horses, dogs, cats, and chickens.
About the Household:
- Nanny accommodation consists of a beautiful private bedroom with television.
- Private bathroom for exclusive Nanny use.
- Full-time private chef preparing all meals for the children, as well as fresh, nutritious meals for the Nanny.
- Fully staffed household, including dedicated cleaning support for both children’s areas and nanny accommodation.
- Vehicle provision and full staffing support for all childcare-related travel and logistics.
- Opportunity to travel via private jet when accompanying the family.
- High-quality, well-maintained living environment.
- Supportive, professional working atmosphere within an experienced household team.
- Full-time security in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of both the family and household team.
- A friendly, welcoming home, with a much-loved family dog and cat also part of daily life.
