Nani Recruitment Ltd is recruiting experienced Support Workers with British Sign Language (BSL) skills for care and support services.
Essential Requirements:
- - Previous experience as a Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant or Care Worker
- - British Sign Language (BSL) Level 2 or above
- - Confident communicating with service users using sign language
- - Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to complete the required DBS process
- - Right to work in the UK
- - Up-to-date mandatory care training
- - Ability to provide suitable employment references
- - Good written and spoken English
- - Reliable and professional
Desirable:
- - Care Certificate
- - NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
- - Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs or hearing impairments
- - Experience using Makaton or other communication methods
Main Duties:
- - Supporting service users with daily living activities
- - Communicating effectively using BSL
- - Supporting personal care where required
- - Promoting independence, dignity and choice
- - Completing care notes and handovers
- - Following safeguarding and health & safety procedures
- - Supporting service users in the community
