A Bit About Us

Ask people where Nando's comes from and you'll get a different answer every time.

Portugal?

Mexico?

The UK?

Our story actually starts in Rosettenville , a Portuguese neighbourhood in Johannesburg, South Africa - with stops in Mozambique and the UK along the way.

It was 1987 when Robbie Brozin and Fernando Duarte opened their first restaurant.

Then another.

And another.

Fast forward to today and we've got over 480 restaurants (and counting), a bestselling hot sauce , and a place in British culture as familiar as a cup of tea.

We're a growing family of 20,000 Nandocas (what we call our employees), fuelled by our values: Pride, Passion, Integrity, Courage and Family.

Inspired by our Southern African heritage, we know and value the richness diversity brings - so we're committed to building an inclusive, respectful culture for all.

The Brand Comms team turns that story into everyday moments people talk about - telling engaging stories, creating meaningful experiences and entertaining our audience across every touchpoint.

You'll help evolve the way Nando's speaks as culture moves on, and make sure we show up at our best wherever we show up.
