Role: Internal Communications Manager (6-month fixed term contract) for Nando’s, responsible for planning, delivering and measuring the impact of internal campaigns to boost engagement and support restaurant operations. Based in Putney, in the Central Support offices, with an expectation to be in the office three days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Lead in communicating and translating our purpose and values, and what makes Nando’s a great place to work.
  • Work with the Operations and People Teams to devise campaigns that raise awareness of the four internal brand pillars: Everyone is Welcome; Be the Best Me; Fired up Work Experiences; Be Part of More.
  • Be a brilliant story gatherer, storyteller and writer. Build a network of content providers across the business to source relevant content.
  • Act as air traffic control for internal messaging; own quality, timing, and distribution of content across channels.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners as needed to maximize content impact.
  • Seek opportunities to innovate content, channels, and processes to maximize outputs.
  • Trial, test, and develop new communications content and channels for restaurant teams.
  • Partner with the Brand team (and external agencies when required) to commission creative content for internal campaigns.
  • Provide internal communications and engagement expertise to stakeholders as a trusted advisor.
  • Develop a strong understanding of all parts of the business and maintain key contacts to facilitate timely information gathering.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years managing internal communications campaigns in an agency or in-house setting, ideally with a multi-site brand.
  • Amazing copywriting and editing skills with the ability to identify compelling stories.
  • Strong digital and content production experience.
  • Deep understanding of multiple channels, especially digital, across internal and external landscapes.
  • Ability to think strategically, join the dots, and manage end-to-end campaigns.
  • Creative thinker who can adapt to change and juggle multiple projects.
  • Self-starter with initiative and ability to manage own projects while collaborating with peers and external partners.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills; able to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Brand guardian mentality, upholding the company reputation.
