Core Responsibilities
- Analyse people problems and opportunities to identify root causes and define clear requirements.
- Use best‑practice analysis techniques to assess issues, opportunities and potential value.
- Run workshops, interviews, surveys and observations to uncover insights that shape solutions.
- Map and evaluate current systems and processes to spot strengths, gaps and improvement areas.
Requirements & Solution Design
- Create detailed requirement documents for new or improved people solutions.
- Work with stakeholders to uncover needs and drive continuous improvement.
- Recommend system and process enhancements that deliver real value and efficiency.
- Use visual tools (flowcharts, BPMN, value stream mapping) to design better processes.
- Influence and evolve our core People service proposition.
Solution Evaluation, Testing & Implementation
- Lead the evaluation, design, testing and implementation of people solutions that meet business needs.
- Assess potential solutions and risks with stakeholders and offer mitigation strategies.
- Ensure solutions are fully tested, validated and properly documented.
- Partner closely with Technology, Operations and cross‑functional teams on people technology improvements and implementations.
Qualifications
- CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience) and 5 years+ experience across generalist or multi‑discipline People roles.
- Strong understanding of People systems and processes in a large, multi‑site business.
- Experience leading and delivering complex People (HR) projects with multiple stakeholders.
- A curious, analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into insight and action.
- Confidence working with HR technologies (e.g., HRIS, recruitment, onboarding, learning, SSO, engagement platforms).
- Strong skills in documenting requirements, creating user stories and mapping processes.
- Great communication skills and the ability to engage, influence and partner with stakeholders across People, Tech, Finance and Operations.
- Familiarity with tools like Miro/Visio, Jira, Confluence, Workday, Slack and other business systems.
- Experience applying project methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum) in a practical way.
- A talent for supporting and delivering change and making it stick through great communication and training.
- A strategic outlook, strong critical thinking and the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload.
- High attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with care and professionalism.
