Director, Enterprise Applications

Compensation Range: £75,000 to £100,000. The salary range listed reflects the base pay for this role at Altus Group and is provided where required by local regulations. Actual offers may differ based on experience, market conditions, and other relevant factors. The range does not include additional compensation such as bonuses, equity, benefits, or other incentives.

We are hiring a Director, Enterprise Applications to lead the strategy, operational maturity, and evolution of Altus Group’s enterprise applications landscape. Reporting to the VP, IT Service & Operations, you will oversee critical business platforms including Salesforce, Workday, and other enterprise applications that underpin commercial operations, customer lifecycle management, Finance, HR, and service delivery across the business. You will bring the leadership presence and strategic mindset to partner with senior stakeholders, establish structure and prioritization across competing business demands, and help modernize how enterprise applications are managed and leveraged across Altus Group. This is a UK-based role with flexibility to work remotely, alongside occasional travel for in‑person collaboration, including time at our Manchester office as required.

As our new Director, Enterprise Applications, you will:

• Lead the enterprise applications function: Oversee the strategy, operational performance, and evolution of critical business platforms including Salesforce, Workday, and other enterprise applications that support commercial operations, Finance, HR, and service delivery across the organization.
• Partner across the business: Work closely with senior stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, and Technology to understand business priorities, improve operational processes, and ensure enterprise applications are aligned to broader organizational goals and measurable business outcomes.
• Drive roadmap planning and operational governance: Establish stronger structure, prioritization, and delivery governance across the enterprise applications landscape, balancing strategic transformation initiatives with day‑to‑day operational demands and platform stability.
• Lead and evolve a multidisciplinary team: Provide leadership, direction, and support to a team of business analysts, developers, and application specialists while shaping the future operating model, team structure, and ways of working as the function continues to mature.
• Strengthen delivery and decision‑making processes: Introduce scalable processes, governance standards, and operational discipline across enterprise applications, ensuring work is effectively prioritized, risks are proactively managed, and stakeholders remain informed and aligned.
• Support technology modernization and AI adoption: Help identify opportunities to modernize workflows, improve operational effectiveness, and leverage emerging technologies, including AI capabilities, across the enterprise applications ecosystem.
• Collaborate across architecture and technology teams: Work closely with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, security, and delivery teams to ensure enterprise applications align with broader technology standards, integration strategies, and long‑term business objectives.
• Act as a strategic and visible leader: Bring clarity, accountability, and forward‑thinking leadership to a critical and evolving area of the business, helping Altus Group continue to strengthen how technology supports operational excellence and growth.

You bring:

• The enterprise applications leadership experience: Led enterprise applications, business systems, CRM, or technology functions within a complex organization and oversee platforms that support critical operational and commercial business processes. Understand how enterprise applications connect to broader business outcomes and can balance strategic planning with operational execution.
• The Salesforce expertise and broader platform mindset: Strong Salesforce knowledge and understanding of platform governance, delivery, integrations, and operational best practices. Exposure to Workday, enterprise business systems, or other large‑scale enterprise applications is highly valued. Ability to think beyond a single platform and lead interconnected systems within a broader enterprise environment.
• The stakeholder management and communication skills: Comfortable operating in highly collaborative environments and partnering with senior leaders across Technology, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and HR. Translate technical concepts into practical business language, navigate competing priorities, and build credibility across both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• The operational and governance mindset: Experience introducing structure, prioritization, delivery governance, and scalable operational processes within evolving technology environments. Understand how to balance strategic transformation initiatives with day‑to‑day operational demands while maintaining accountability and delivery focus.
• The people leadership capabilities: Experienced in leading multidisciplinary teams and creating environments built on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Coach, mentor, and guide teams through change while shaping operating models and future team structures.
• The adaptability and forward‑thinking approach: Energized by transformation and comfortable operating in environments experiencing significant growth and change. Curious about emerging technologies, including AI capabilities, and excited to modernize workflows, improve efficiency, and evolve how enterprise applications support the business.
