About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned End User Computing (EUC) Support Engineer to provide premium, white-glove technology support across two London offices in Knightsbridge and Mayfair.
This is a highly visible, business-critical role requiring daily interaction with key stakeholders, including traders and senior executives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in high-pressure financial environments, combining deep technical expertise with the ability to communicate effectively under pressure. You will act as the primary point of contact for all user-facing technology issues, ensuring maximum uptime for our trading teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Split-Site Support: Manage daily EUC operations across both Knightsbridge and Mayfair locations, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery at both sites.
- Trader & VIP Support: Provide immediate, highly responsive deskside and remote support to traders and senior executives, understanding the critical urgency of their operations.
- Technical Operations: Manage user lifecycles (onboarding/offboarding) and maintain the core desktop infrastructure, including Active Directory administration and Office 365 management.
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Perform basic administration and troubleshooting of MS Servers and handle on-site networking requirements (patching, port configuration, basic connectivity diagnostics).
- Telephony: Manage the Cisco Unified Communications environment, ensuring seamless voice connectivity for trading desks.
- Incident Management: Own user issues from initial contact through to resolution, liaising with third-party vendors or wider infrastructure teams where necessary.
Required Experience & Skills
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in deskside/EUC support, with at least 2 years spent specifically in a Live Trading or high-frequency finance environment.
- Communication: Native-level proficiency in both written and oral English. You must be articulate, confident, and capable of explaining complex technical issues concisely to non-technical traders in high-stress situations.
- Core Technical Stack:
- Deep knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online).
- Solid experience with Active Directory (GPO, user management, security groups).
- Basic Windows Server administration.
- Cisco Telephony/UC administration (moving, adding, changing desk phones).
- Fundamental networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, patching, and switch port diagnostics).
