Post: Study Programme Manager/ Lecturer/ Tutor for Access to HE Social Sciences

Job Purpose

To teach and course manage the Access to HE Social Science programme with specific focus on Psychology and Sociology, as well as Criminology, Counselling and Health Studies. In addition, the Post Holder will teach and assess the Social Sciences on the Access to HE Nursing and Midwifery Programme. A requirement in the role will also be to assess and mark the social science element of the online Access to HE Programmes.

Previous Experience

  • At least 2 years experience working within industry, or significant study within these subject areas.
  • Curriculum development.
  • Experience of tutoring students.
  • Flexible resource development.
  • Relevant experience in the training and development of students, including adult learners.
  • Experience of mapping, tracking and target setting.
  • Experience of supporting learners and their individual needs.

Qualifications

  • Teaching qualification, PGCE, DTTLS, DEAT, (or be willing to work towards).
  • Relevant degree in the subject area.
  • English & Maths, GCSE grade C or equivalent.
