The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Photography Lecturer to deliver engaging and practical photography provision to adult learners across Levels 1-3 and HND. This role focuses on supporting beginners through to more advanced learners, developing both technical and creative skills.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering inclusive lessons, assessing learner progress, and supporting students to achieve positive outcomes in line with awarding body requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching in photography across Levels 1-3 and HND
- Teach adult learners, including beginners, in a supportive and accessible manner
- Plan engaging lessons covering practical, technical, and creative photography skills
- Assess student work and provide constructive feedback
- Track learner progress and maintain accurate records
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes
- Support learners with portfolio development and progression
Essential Requirements
- Experience teaching or delivering photography at FE or equivalent level
- Strong subject knowledge in photography (digital and/or traditional)
- Experience working with adult learners
- Ability to deliver inclusive, engaging sessions for beginners
- Enhanced DBS check (ideally registered on the Update Service)
Desirable
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
- Experience delivering BTEC / UAL / HND photography qualifications
- Industry experience within photography
