Nursery Practitioner (Lunch Cover)

Location: Bilborough, Nottingham

Salary: Up to £13.30 per hour depending on qualifications and experience

Hours: 11:00am–2:00pm (15hr p/w), Mon-Fri, all year round

Contract: Permanent

Nala Recruitment are currently working with a welcoming and supportive nursery setting who are looking for a Nursery Practitioner to join their team on a part-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring and motivated Early Years professional who is passionate about supporting young children and helping them develop, learn and thrive in a safe and stimulating environment.

The Role

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play an important role in providing high-quality care and education for children, supporting their development through engaging activities and positive interactions.

  • Providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children
  • Supporting children’s learning and development through age-appropriate activities
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of engaging activities based around children’s interests and development
  • Observing and recording children’s progress and contributing to their individual learning journeys
  • Ensuring children’s health, safety and wellbeing are maintained at all times
  • Supporting children with their personal care needs where required
  • Working effectively as part of a wider nursery team
  • Following the nursery’s policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements
  • Creating an inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported

About You

  • Caring, patient and approachable
  • Passionate about working with children and supporting their development
  • A positive team player with good communication skills
  • Reliable, responsible and committed to providing high-quality care
  • Able to build strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues
  • Confident in creating fun and engaging learning experiences

A relevant Early Years qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Years Education and Childcare is desirable/required depending on the role.

Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting would be beneficial.
