We are currently working in partnership with a well-established Further Education College in Durham who are seeking a skilled Roofing Lecturer/Assessor to join them on a full-time, temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced industry professional or FE Lecturer to step into a long-term contract delivering high-quality training across Level 2 Tile & Slate Roofing and supporting delivery within a Flat Roofing Apprenticeship programme.
The Role:
- Deliver engaging and practical lessons on Level 2 Tile & Slate Roofing
- Support and assess learners on the Flat Roofing Apprenticeship programme
- Provide both classroom-based and workshop/site-based delivery
- Monitor learner progress, provide feedback, and support achievement
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and learner engagement
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven industry experience within roofing (tile, slate and/or flat roofing)
- Previous teaching, training or assessing experience within FE or apprenticeships (desirable)
- Relevant vocational qualification in Roofing or Construction
- Teaching qualification (PGCE / Cert Ed) or willingness to work towards
- Assessor/IQA qualifications (advantageous but not essential)
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
