We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated radiographer with an interest in, or experience of Breast Imaging to join our friendly multi-disciplinary team at the RCHT Mermaid Centre. The Breast Unit provides comprehensive breast care to patients from Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. The successful applicant will work in the department and on the screening units, which serve the county.
Responsibilities:
- Perform mammogram, stereotactic and ultrasound examinations, follow‑up and screening mammograms, tomograms and family history clinics.
- Complete the Post Graduate Certificate (PGC) in 9‑12 months with dedicated study time and mentor support.
- Conduct Quality Assurance tests and maintain the safety of imaging equipment.
- Contribute to a team‑based approach to breast care and participate in teaching and research activities.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- DCR or BSc in Diagnostic or Therapeutic Radiography.
- Basic IT skills for specialist equipment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Team player.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
- Post‑graduate qualification in mammography.
- Keyboard and computer experience.
- Experience in PACS and CRIS.
HCPC registration is required. Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Contract & Salary: Permanent, full‑time, Band 5. Salary depends on experience and is subject to confirmation of banding. Pay scheme: Agenda for Change.
Location: RCH Treliske Mermaid Centre, Treliske, Truro, TR1 3LJ.
