Domestic Services Supervisor – 37.5 hours per week Monday to Wednesday 1500‑2000 and Saturday and Sunday 0800‑2000. Flexible hours to meet service requirements. Key post vital to the Trust’s hygiene and infection control measures.
Responsibilities
- Provide effective supervision and support to domestic staff and coordinate duties throughout the Department.
- Allocate staff to cover all duties, ensuring smooth running of the service.
- Develop quality initiatives and ensure good cleaning service, adhering to Trust policies and Control of Infection policies.
- Liaise directly with ward personnel and patients as part of departmental quality initiatives.
- Reflect the Department’s philosophy of quality care and customer service in practice.
Person Specification
Essential
- Experience of working in patient areas.
- GCSE or equivalent Level C in Maths and English.
- Supervisory experience in a facilities or healthcare environment.
Desirable
- Previous experience in a domestic services environment.
- NVQ requirement in Manual Handling, Health and Safety, Customer Care.
- First Aid Certificate.
