The Finance and Procurement Department are looking for ambitious and high performing Deputy Finance Managers and Deputy Financial Accountant. This is a generic job role across the sections of financial management, financial services, costing, income and capital. There are two permanent full-time roles and one fixed term Deputy Finance Manager maternity cover. The roles advertised are in management accounts and financial services and typically support clinical divisions or corporate departments but will also play a leading role in developing and delivering the Trust's financial sustainability programme.

For the right candidate, this job will be both professionally rewarding and provide you with an excellent workplace experience. Our finance department is One NHS Finance Level 2 Accredited, and we will want the successful candidate to help us on our journey to level 3 accreditation.
Main duties of the job
As a Deputy Finance Manager or Deputy Financial Accountant, you will be a fully qualified accountant, or in the final stages of obtaining your qualification. The right candidate will be keen on adding value and making a difference to patient care. You will provide high quality and clearly communicate financial information including accurate forecasts all produced to tight deadlines. This will support both monthly reporting and be fully auditable during the year. You will identify, report and help mitigate financial risks. You will ensure that financial processes are effective, purposeful, well understood and add value. You will provide expertise to senior managers, service managers and other responsible individuals on the development of business cases and savings plans.
