In a nutshell, we're all about making the world of wine a better place. We fund and source directly from independent winemakers to bring customers better quality wine for a better price. No thirsty middlemen as far as the eye can see. It's a different way of doing things, sure. But it works. We're one of the UK's favourite wine clubs, shipping over 1 million cases a year to curious wine lovers. And with an ambitious road ahead, we've got no plans on plugging the cork on growth. Our global team is entrepreneurial by nature, obsessive about customer experience and driven by performance. All things that make Naked a great place to grow both personally and professionally.

Role Overview: You will join the Digital team as a fixed-term contractor on a day-rate basis, managing projects that improve our e-commerce experience, optimise conversion, and support international growth.

  • Role Type: Fixed-Term Contractor (Day Rate)
  • Location: London / Norwich / Hybrid
  • IR35 Status: Outside (Subject to status determination)
  • Project Length: 9-12 months

What You'll Do:

  • Project Leadership: Own end-to-end delivery of high-impact e-commerce projects, including website enhancements, checkout optimisation, personalisation, and platform integrations.
  • Agile Delivery: Lead the build phase by managing sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring effective backlog prioritisation and team velocity.
  • Growth & Optimisation: Support initiatives to improve conversion rate, customer retention, and lifetime value in collaboration with marketing and product teams.
  • Scope & Planning: Define project scope, timelines, and dependencies. Build detailed project plans that balance delivery speed with high-quality outcomes.
  • Technical Coordination: Manage integrations with third-party tools such as payment providers, personalisation platforms, and analytics suites.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify blockers and maintain a clear risk register with mitigation plans to keep delivery on track.
  • Governance & Reporting: Provide structured updates on KPIs, progress, and risks, ensuring strong documentation and change control throughout the lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Act as the central communication hub, aligning technical and non-technical stakeholders on priorities and rollout plans.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience: 4+ years delivering e-commerce, digital, or product-led projects, including enterprise-scale implementations or replatforming.
  • Platform Expertise: Strong experience with Shopify Plus (or similar enterprise platforms like Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento, or BigCommerce).
  • Technical Tools: Hands-on proficiency with Jira and Confluence for delivery management and documentation.
  • Commercial Awareness: A deep understanding of e-commerce metrics (conversion rate, AOV, retention) and online customer behaviour.
  • Delivery Rigour: A disciplined approach to project structure and high standards, with a project management certification (e.g., Agile, Scrum, PRINCE2) preferred.
  • Influential Communication: The ability to influence across cross-functional teams, navigate complex dependencies, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: You use insights to inform decisions, measure success, and iterate on the customer journey.
  • Pragmatic Leadership: A hands-on approach to problem-solving—you take full ownership of delivery and get things done.

Behaviours:

  • Ambition: Implementing strategy into action and providing feedback (what works and doesn’t).
  • Judgement: Questioning the status quo, testing hypotheses and sharing outcomes.
  • Discipline: Delivering on commitments, on time with quality.
  • Influence: Collaborating effectively, actively working on own development.
  • Accountability: Delivering results, recognising mistakes and quickly sharing them.

Values:

  • You support all stakeholders from the winemaker, through to the customer. We are Naked Together.
  • You embrace growth, pushing yourself out of your comfort zone to overcome obstacles.
  • You always start with our customers and winemakers.
  • You keep it simple and are data-led, from the wine itself to the ways of working.
  • You do the right thing, holding yourself accountable with honesty and openness.

Benefits: Competitive Rate: £600 per day (Outside IR35).
