Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Qualified Supervisor Electrician to join our Exeter Hub team. In this role, you will be responsible for the electrical aspects of installing solar PV systems and battery storage solutions, and ensuring all electrical installations are completed to the highest safety and quality standards, in line with NICEIC and BS7671 regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the designated NICEIC Qualified Supervisor for the Exeter Hub.
- Install, test, and commission solar PV and battery storage systems (domestic and commercial).
- Ensure all electrical work is completed safely, compliantly, and in accordance with industry standards (BS7671, IET Wiring Regulations).
- Supervise and sign off installation work carried out by any other electricians and apprentices.
- Conduct site inspections, testing, and commissioning of solar PV and battery systems.
- Maintain and manage certification, testing documentation, and compliance records.
- Provide technical support and mentoring to future Exeter Hub electricians.
- Maintain a strong focus on health & safety, conducting risk assessments where required.
- Participate in audits, assessments, and technical reviews as needed.
Essential Skills & Experience
- City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (Inspection & Testing).
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
- Experience installing domestic and/or commercial solar PV and battery storage systems.
- NICEIC (or equivalent) Qualified Supervisor status (or eligible to become QS).
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety and regulatory compliance.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- ECS Gold Card.
