Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Oversee all QEHS & ECM functions (Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety) and work closely with all Head of Departments and peers to ensure statutory compliance, KPIs, organizational standards, and policies set are met.
- Identify, assess and advise on risks arising from the workplace or work processes, recommending measures to eliminate or minimise and control the risks and implementing the measures.
- Coordinate, maintain and update documentation for ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015 and ISO45001:2018.
- Conduct periodic internal audits for the QEHS management systems.
- Conduct training for employees on the QEHS management systems.
- Facilitate management review meetings.
- Update and disseminate relevant legal and other requirements to company employees and interested parties.
- Update and maintain green & gracious initiatives for certification under the GGBS.
- Analyse accident statistics and develop intervention programmes.
- Organise annual Company-wide QEHS promotional activities.
- Plan and conduct EHS cross inspections for company projects.
- Arrange for external audits on the QEHS management systems and ensure certifications are kept current.
- Monitor and ensure other QEHS related certifications are kept current (e.g. Bizsafe, GGBS, Registered Scaffold Contractor).
- Prepare annual Company safety targets in line with adopted targets from Nakano Japan Oversea Division.
- Conduct periodic meetings with project WSHO for sharing of operating site issues with a view to standardise QEHS activities for Company project adoption.
- Provide QEHS consultation to Company project sites.
- Provide relevant support to the Business Development Department in tendering exercises.
- Identify & recommend relevant QEHS related training, seminars, forums etc. for Company staff participation.
- Liaise & participate in authorities visits to project sites where appropriate.
- Assist & provide advice to project sites on accident/incident investigation upon request.
- Make use of in-house cloud system (i.e., SharePoint, OneDrive etc.) to keep records for sharing and easy reference.
- Any other assignments as instructed by the Construction General Manager or Company Director.
- Must hold a valid registration with MOM as a WSH Officer.
