Job Description
As the Neurodiversity Support Manager, you will be instrumental in leading support initiatives for prisoners with neurodivergent needs. Your primary goal will be to develop and implement a 'whole system' approach, ensuring individuals are supported in their journey through Education, Skills, and Work pathways during their sentence.
You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders including the Head of Education Skills and Work, Learning and Skills Managers, and Industry Managers. Your responsibilities will extend to ensuring that all staff and partners share a unified vision and ethos regarding neurodiversity, fostering an environment where neurodivergent prisoners can engage, progress, and prepare for successful reintegration into the community.
Requirements
- Experience of operating in a specialist neurodiversity role is highly desirable.
- Experience of working within the Special Educational Needs/Additional Learning Needs and Disabilities field.
- Detailed knowledge of OFSTED/Estyn's EIF (Education Inspection Framework) and further education and skills criteria.
- Substantial teaching experience, demonstrating a range of strategies for developing accessible and appropriate resources.
- History of developing highly effective partnerships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence through the medium of English.
