Job Description

As a Business Administrator in ID & Banking, you will play a crucial role in supporting prisoners with essential services related to identification and banking. Your responsibilities will include assessing the needs and eligibility of prisoners for right-to-work ID and basic bank accounts, maintaining meticulous records, and guiding them through the application processes of the HMPPS Programmes.

You will act as a single point of contact, managing enquiries and liaising with both internal and external partners, including the Offender Management Unit and the Department of Work and Pensions. Additionally, you will support the collation of resettlement documentation, assist with administrative preparations for release, and proactively promote Employment Hub initiatives within the prison, contributing significantly to the resettlement journey of individuals.

Requirements

• Proven administrative experience, ideally within a structured environment.
• Ability to assess needs and eligibility according to established guidelines and templates.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders and support applicants.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and using digital systems, including adherence to financial policies like the MOJ Government Procurement Card (GPC) Policy.
• A strong understanding of, or willingness to learn about, the UK's right-to-work and banking processes for individuals.
