Job Description

As the Finance Director at Agincare, you will report directly to the Group CFO and be responsible for leading a substantial finance team of approximately 40 colleagues. Your primary oversight will encompass financial operations across more than 40 legal entities, managing a complex and evolving organisation with an anticipated turnover of Β£243 million this year and close to 6,000 team members.

This role extends beyond technical finance; it demands an accomplished leader capable of developing people, simplifying operational complexities, and strengthening financial controls. • Work for a proudly family-owned business with over 40 years of experience.

How to Prepare

For Nigerian and other African immigrants looking to secure this Finance Director role in the UK care sector, preparation is key. Ensure your CV is meticulously tailored to UK standards, highlighting your leadership experience, financial oversight of multiple entities, and any experience in the care or related sectors. Your LinkedIn profile should also reflect these strengths, connecting with relevant professionals and showcasing your expertise. Prepare a compelling cover letter that directly addresses your suitability for a senior finance role within a large, growing organisation like Agincare, and crucially, your understanding of the UK's financial regulatory landscape.

Given the care sector context, while this isn't a direct care role, demonstrating an understanding of the sector's operational nuances and financial challenges can be a significant advantage. For the interview, be ready to discuss your leadership philosophy, how you've simplified complex financial operations, and strengthened controls. When the topic of visa sponsorship arises, confidently articulate your qualifications and your commitment to relocating and contributing long-term to Agincare, emphasizing your readiness to navigate the immigration process.

  • Refine your CV and LinkedIn to showcase senior financial leadership and multi-entity management.
  • Craft a cover letter detailing your fit for Agincare's growth ambitions and sector.
  • Research Agincare's financial performance and strategic goals.
  • Prepare examples of leadership in finance transformation and team development.
  • Be ready to discuss your visa sponsorship needs clearly and confidently, highlighting your eligibility.
