About the Role

As a Female Care Worker, you’ll provide compassionate, personalised support to individuals with a wide range of health and social care needs. Working in clients’ homes, you’ll help improve their quality of life while promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing. The role involves supporting people with everyday living as well as assisting those with more complex healthcare requirements under the guidance of qualified professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, person-centred care based on individual care plans.
  • Assist with personal care, bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
  • Promote independence, privacy, dignity, and choice.
  • Build positive relationships with service users, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Support medication administration in line with training and company policies.
  • Monitor and report changes in clients’ health and wellbeing.
  • Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
  • Provide specialised care, where trained, including:
    • PEG feeding
    • Oral suction
    • Seizure and epilepsy management
    • Pressure area care
    • Other delegated clinical tasks

Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (or working towards one)
  • Care Certificate (or willingness to complete it)
  • Previous domiciliary care experience
  • Experience supporting individuals with physical disabilities or learning disabilities
  • Medication administration experience
  • Strong communication and record-keeping skills
  • A caring, compassionate, and professional attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 2 years’ UK care experience
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Access to a vehicle (essential)
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • GCSE (or equivalent)
  • Right to work in the UK, or eligibility for sponsorship
