Overview
Appleberry Care is recruiting two experienced Senior Female Healthcare Assistants to deliver domiciliary care to female clients who specifically request female carers (this is an occupational requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010).
Immediate visa sponsorship is not available; sponsorship may be considered after a minimum of six months’ continuous employment subject to performance, business needs, sponsor‑licence availability and immigration rules.
Key Responsibilities
- – Provide intimate personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting) and support with medication, meals and daily living activities.
- – Follow and contribute to individual care plans; support care assessments and reviews.
- – Monitor and report changes in clients’ health or behaviour; respond to incidents and emergencies.
- – Maintain accurate care records (electronic systems) and promote dignity, privacy and wellbeing.
- – Supervise and support care assistants on shift; assist with spot checks and maintaining care standards.
- – Communicate professionally with clients, families and healthcare professionals.
Essential Requirements
- – Female (occupational requirement for these roles).
- – Valid right to work in the UK on application. Sponsorship not guaranteed; may be considered after probation.
- – Full UK driving licence and use of a vehicle (mandatory).
- – Previous domiciliary care experience and prior senior/supervisory care experience preferred.
- – Knowledge of medication processes, person‑centred care and safeguarding.
- – Good oral and written communication; ability to use electronic care recording systems.
- – Reliable, professional and able to work varied shifts including weekends.
Desirable
- – Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in Health and Social Care.
