Night Worker – UK Visa Sponsorship
As a Night Worker, you will help create a safe, supportive and caring environment for residents throughout the night. You will provide assistance, communicate with residents and respond appropriately to any concerns or emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Talk to residents, listen to their concerns and provide appropriate support.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment throughout the night.
- Follow security and safety procedures.
- Respond calmly and appropriately to emergency situations.
- Carry out hourly building checks.
- Monitor and report concerns, including noise or security issues.
- Complete administrative tasks, incident reports and handover notes.
- Work independently while following established procedures.
- Attend team meetings, training sessions and other development activities.
Working Hours
This is a part-time position, with the usual working pattern being approximately two nights per week.
The role is suitable for someone who can remain awake, alert and calm throughout the night and who is comfortable taking responsibility during emergencies.
Skills and Experience Required
Applicants should have strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with people from different backgrounds.
You should be able to demonstrate:
- An understanding of the challenges faced by people experiencing mental health difficulties and dual diagnosis.
- Experience interacting directly with members of the public, clients or customers in a busy service environment.
- The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
- The ability to remain calm and make appropriate decisions during emergencies.
- Good administrative and recordkeeping skills.
- Empathy, patience and a willingness to learn and support people in improving their lives.
Visa Sponsorship and Right to Work
Visa sponsorship is available for this role. However, applicants must meet the applicable immigration and right-to-work requirements and have legal permission to work in the UK for the relevant period of employment.
Successful candidates will be required to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.
Sponsorship is subject to eligibility, the employer’s requirements and current UK immigration rules.
