Baguley Pharmacy is seeking a qualified and patient-focused GPhC-registered Pharmacist to join its growing, service-led community pharmacy in Manchester. This clinical role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality NHS and private healthcare services while developing your professional career in a supportive environment. Skilled Worker visa sponsorship is available for eligible international applicants who require sponsorship to work in the UK.

Please note: This role is intended for qualified pharmacists who require Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants who are already UK citizens or do not require sponsorship should not apply through this vacancy.

Salary: £35,852.17 – £64,421.30 per year (depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-time Permanent On-site

About the Role: As a Community Pharmacist, you will provide expert pharmaceutical care, deliver NHS and private clinical services, and work closely with patients to improve health outcomes. You’ll also support the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy while ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispensing prescription medicines safely and accurately.
  • Providing medication counselling and pharmaceutical advice to patients.
  • Explaining medication usage, side effects, and potential drug interactions.
  • Monitoring treatment outcomes and collaborating with healthcare professionals when necessary.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records in line with data protection regulations.
  • Managing medicine stock levels and inventory.
  • Promoting medication adherence and healthy lifestyles.
  • Supervising and supporting members of the pharmacy team.
  • Ensuring compliance with GPhC standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

NHS Clinical Services: You will help deliver a range of NHS services, including:

  • Community Pharmacist Consultation Service (CPCS)
  • New Medicine Service (NMS)
  • Structured Medication Reviews (where appropriate)
  • Hypertension Case Finding Service
  • Smoking Cessation Service
  • Seasonal vaccination programmes, including Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations

Private Healthcare Services: You may also provide:

  • Travel vaccinations and travel health advice
  • Weight management services
  • Private prescriptions (where appropriate)
  • Health screening, including diabetes and cholesterol checks

Candidate Requirements: Applicants must have:

  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Eligibility for a Skilled Worker Visa (visa sponsorship available)
  • Excellent clinical knowledge and patient care skills
  • Strong communication and consultation abilities
  • Experience delivering NHS pharmacy services
  • A patient-centred and professional approach

Important Sponsorship Information: Applicants seeking sponsorship must already be:

  • Fully qualified pharmacists
  • Registered with the GPhC

Sponsorship is not available for pre-registration pharmacists, pharmacy trainees, or students.

Desirable Qualifications: The following would be advantageous:

  • Independent Prescriber qualification (or willingness to undertake training)
  • Experience delivering private pharmacy services
