We are seeking an experienced and hands-on HR Manager to support a fast-paced, high-performing professional services environment. As the primary HR contact for the London office, you will work closely with senior management and collaborate with an international HR team. The role combines day-to-day HR operations with strategic initiatives covering recruitment, employee engagement, performance management, company culture, and talent development. This position is well suited to a confident HR professional who can work independently, manage senior stakeholders, and provide practical solutions to complex HR matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Leadership & Business Support
    • Act as the main HR point of contact for the London office.
    • Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
    • Work with senior leadership on strategic and operational HR matters.
    • Support employee engagement, leadership development, and workplace culture initiatives.
    • Help maintain a high-performance working environment.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding
    • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from advertising vacancies to making offers.
    • Coordinate interviews and work with external recruitment partners.
    • Support graduate and early-career recruitment programmes.
    • Oversee onboarding to ensure a smooth experience for new employees.
    • Coordinate the recruitment and onboarding of interns.
  • Performance & Talent Management
    • Support and manage employee performance review cycles.
    • Prepare HR reports and documentation for senior stakeholders.
    • Assist with talent reviews, promotion discussions, and workforce planning.
  • Employee Relations
    • Act as the first point of contact for employee relations matters.
    • Support probation, performance management, and related HR processes.
    • Work with external legal advisers on complex employee matters when required.
  • Immigration & Compliance
    • Manage visa sponsorship and immigration processes.
    • Ensure HR practices comply with UK employment law and Home Office requirements.
    • Work with external immigration advisers on complex cases.
  • HR Operations
    • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
    • Prepare employment contracts and employee documentation.
    • Review and update HR policies and employee handbooks.
    • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and systems.
Requirements & Skills

The successful candidate should have:

  • Proven experience in a generalist or standalone HR role.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR compliance.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Confidence working independently and making sound decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A practical, analytical, and solutions-focused approach.
  • Experience in professional services, financial services, or another high-performance environment is desirable.
  • Knowledge of UK immigration and visa sponsorship processes.
  • Experience working with international teams.
  • Familiarity with HR systems such as Personio is advantageous.
  • German language skills are beneficial but not essential.
