As a Home Support Worker, you will deliver person-centred care to individuals living with learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, physical disabilities, and other support needs.

Your role will focus on helping people maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life within their own homes and communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, including assistance with washing, dressing, toileting, and eating where required.
  • Support clients with meal preparation, shopping, household tasks, and medication management.
  • Encourage independence by helping individuals make their own choices and achieve personal goals.
  • Offer emotional support, companionship, and reassurance.
  • Monitor and report any changes in clients’ physical or mental wellbeing.
  • Support individuals to attend appointments and participate in community activities.
  • Maintain accurate care records and follow safeguarding procedures at all times.
  • Candidate Requirements
  • Caring, patient, and compassionate attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleepover duties where required.
  • Previous care experience is desirable but not essential, as full training is provided.
  • SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it) is an advantage.
  • First Aid and Manual Handling training are beneficial.
  • UK driving licence required.
  • Own vehicle preferred.
