About the Role

As Deputy Home Manager, you will support the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the care home and help ensure residents receive safe, personalised and high-quality care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning staff rotas and supporting workforce management
  • Recruiting and onboarding new employees
  • Organising induction and mandatory staff training
  • Monitoring staff performance and maintaining care standards
  • Assessing and responding to residents’ individual needs
  • Supporting occupancy management and financial controls
  • Working with the wider team to maintain excellent standards of care
  • Addressing operational and staffing issues when they arise

Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • A Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Previous management experience within an elderly care environment
  • A willingness to progress toward Level 4 or Level 5 qualifications
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

  • Basic marketing and financial awareness to support occupancy and expenditure management
