About the Role
As Deputy Home Manager, you will support the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the care home and help ensure residents receive safe, personalised and high-quality care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning staff rotas and supporting workforce management
- Recruiting and onboarding new employees
- Organising induction and mandatory staff training
- Monitoring staff performance and maintaining care standards
- Assessing and responding to residents’ individual needs
- Supporting occupancy management and financial controls
- Working with the wider team to maintain excellent standards of care
- Addressing operational and staffing issues when they arise
Requirements
Applicants should have:
- A Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent
- Previous management experience within an elderly care environment
- A willingness to progress toward Level 4 or Level 5 qualifications
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
