The Role
This is a fast-paced, physically demanding driving position. Drivers typically complete 30–50 multi-drop deliveries per day, delivering to cafés, bars, restaurants, hotels and event venues.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete approximately 30–50 deliveries per day across London and the Southeast.
- Deliver ice products safely, accurately and on schedule.
- Provide excellent customer service at every delivery.
- Load, unload and safely handle 12kg bags of ice and larger ice products.
- Assist with the transportation and installation of custom ice sculptures after training.
- Maintain professional standards while representing the Icebox brand.
- Follow all relevant health, safety and driving procedures.
Requirements
- At least one year of multi-drop delivery driving experience.
- A full UK Category B driving licence.
- No more than three penalty points.
- Strong knowledge of London and surrounding areas.
- The legal right to work in the UK.
- Good English communication skills.
- The physical ability to regularly lift and carry 12kg bags of ice.
- A professional, reliable and customer-focused attitude.
- Availability to work weekends, early mornings, evenings and during busy seasonal periods.
- Applicants must generally be aged 25 or over due to insurance requirements.
Salary
Starting rates for drivers with around one year of experience include:
- Monday–Friday, 7am–5pm: £14.00/hour
- Monday–Friday outside standard hours: £15.40/hour
- Saturday, 7am–5pm: £15.40/hour
- Saturday outside standard hours: £17.71/hour
- Sunday, 8am–4pm: £16.10/hour
- Sunday outside standard hours: £18.48/hour
Experienced drivers may be offered higher starting rates.
